Based on a “True Story”, literally….

I’ve never watched anything quite like this movie before. It’s centralized focus on The New York Times is honestly the driving force behind why I watched this movie, however its plot extend far further than merely a man that writes for the times. I don’t want to give anything away so I’m going to share my thoughts and feelings slash just rant about the greatness of this film below. The face paced plot and scenes were a real game changer for me. I’m not usual an action film type of gal, and I honestly wouldn’t consider this an action film. It could possibly be categorized under face paced, extremely high level of intelligence required to keep up, and stamina needed so one’s brain doesn’t get tired from running in circles nonstop. I loved the whole idea behind the guessing game factor. I guess you could call it a psycho-thriller. It gave me some Gone Girl vibes, yet slightly- and I mean just barely- less insane as Gone Girl. Overall, it was an excellent film that I honestly only watched because the main character was a writer, but it turned out to be quite the pleasant Sunday afternoon adventure, all from the comfort of my own couch.

BASED ON THE STORY OF MICHAEL FINKEL AND CHRISTIAN LONGO
